Norway silent on a dialogue with the FARC

The Scandinavian country neither affirms nor denies his mediation with the conflict in Colombia, but his conciliatory predisposition has led her to Middle East and Sri Lanka

However, he gave no details of the dates and sites that made "exploratory talks" with the FARC, or where it will continue.

It would not be strange that Norway was part of talks that will exist between the Government and the FARC. This small country in Northern Europe has been protagonist of many of the major mediations have occurred throughout history. In Sri Lanka, for example, he tried to achieve reconciliation between the Government and the Tamil Tigers, but the plan ultimately failed because of the irreconcilable positions on the creation of another State to the North of the island.

Norway was also anfitrionia in the Oslo process to resolve the conflict peace between Israel and the Organization for the liberation of Palestine (OPLA) in 1993. Why has this position developed a country with so little international presence? These are the reasons that the Scandinavian country alludes when asked about it:

1. A fundamental reason is its global power. Many contenders have chosen Norway as a mediator because to take up a role at international level, not you can force the parties to reach an agreement that will benefit him in some sense.
